Marion Geraldine Coker Taylor, 89, of Montgomery, passed away Friday January 20, 2016. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM Monday January 23rd at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel followed by a graveside funeral service at 3:00 PM in Durden Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born December 4, 1927 in Prattville to the late Mac Coker and Frenchie Russ Coker. She was a longtime member of the Dalraida Church of Christ and was retired from the State of Alabama after many years of faithful service. She was a precious mother, a loving granny, a proud and dedicated NeeNee with a kind and gentle spirit. She will be missed very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Taylor, Sr. in 1982. She is survived by four children; Charles E. “Skip” Taylor of Lawrenceville, GA., Mary E. “Lu” Taylor of Montgomery, Linda Susan Dees and her husband Robert of Montgomery, Robert J. Taylor and his wife Melissa of Auburn; a brother Gary Coker of Phoenix, AZ.; seven grandchildren Jarrod Taylor, Britton, Barrett and Elliott Dees, Madison, Nate and Lucy Taylor; one great grandchild Bentley Dees and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Chandler, Russ Chandler, Cass Chandler, Charles Casmus, Charles Sconyers and Rafe Sconyers.
