Michael "Mikey" Eugene Brush, aged 20, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Son of Gary Allen Martin Jr. and Tammy Lynn "Hohn" Sasser. He was preceded in death by his father Gary Allen Martin, and grandfather Robert Eugene Hohn. He leaves behind a loving family including his mother Tammy Lynn "Hohn" Sasser, stepfather Michael Wayne Sasser, siblings Anthony Allen Martin, Tyler Wade Sasser, Michael Wayne Sasser Jr., Mason Blake Sasser, Brittany Michelle "Sasser" Black, and Talynn Layne Sasser, along with his cherished Nanny, Kathleen (Byrd) Maynard, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mikey brought joy to all who knew him. In the hearts of those who loved him, Mikey will forever be remembered for his vibrant personality and his unwavering care for those around him. His laughter was contagious, his smile radiant, lighting up every room he entered. He possessed a rare talent for connecting with others, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Mikey's interests and passions were as diverse as his personality. From building intricate Lego creations, to tinkering with cars and trucks, he possessed a remarkable ingenuity that shown through in everything he did. He found joy in playing video games, particularly his favorite, Call of Duty, and found fulfillment in his work at Smokehouse Pit BBQ.
Family was paramount to Mikey, and he cherished the annual summer trips to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where he delighted in attending car shows and spending quality time with loved ones. Mikey's departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, offering an opportunity for friends and family to come together and honor the remarkable person Mikey was. His spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to know him.
