Myrtle A Mauk

Myrtle Anderson Mauk, age 96 of Prattville, Alabama, passed away on March 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Vesta Anderson; husband, Seth R. Mauk, Sr; son, Seth R. Mauk, Jr; siblings, Mildred Sikes, Frances Bradley, Calvin Anderson, Jean Rewis, and Ottis Anderson, Jr; and grandson, Daniel C. Ronie. She is survived by her siblings; Margaret Anderson Green and Steve Anderson; children, Barbara M. Turner (AL) and Susan M. Ronie; grandchildren, Allison T. Judah (Titus), Jonathan L. Turner (Stephanie), and Nathan S. Turner (Susan); great grandchildren, Kendall J. Helms (Caleb), Micah A. Judah, Mitchell A. Judah (Kayla), Julianna R. Judah, Tyler Turner, Gabriel Judah, Alex T. Reese (Dalton), Abby R. Turner, Gabriel L. Judah, Jonathan M. Judah, J. Seth Turner, Sydney E. Turner, Samuel E. Turner, Leighton J. Ronie, and Logan M. Ronie; great great grandchildren, Braxton Helms, Maddux Helms, and Bear Reese.

Myrtle A. Mauk was a beloved mother, grandmother and Nanna. Her life of service eternally impacted generations. She passionately taught the Word of God and ministered to all she knew had a need. Myrlte was born on May 9, 1927 in Collins, Georgia to Ottis and Vesta Anderson. She was the oldest of eight children and was raised in a godly home. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age and had a close relationship with Him. After graduating High School, she moved to Savannah, GA. She was employed by Citizens and Southern National Bank, where she was trained by the first female teller in Georgia. She married Seth Rogers Mauk, Sr on March 13, 1948. God blessed them with three beautiful children Barbara, Susan and Seth Jr. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Myrtle leaves a legacy of love, faith and devotion to God.

We are thankful for the promise of Heaven to all who accept Christ as their Savior. Heaven gets sweeter every day.

A visitation for Myrtle will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout’s-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jonathan, Nathan, Tyler, Seth and Sam Turner, Micah and Gabriel Judah, Caleb Helms and Dalton Reese.
