Ethel “Peggy” Lee Whitman Williams, 84, a longtime Prattville resident, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, September 29th at 2:30 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Rev. Hal E. McNeely officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born in Perry County, Alabama to the late Herbert Wilkerson Whitman and Ella Ethel Wood Whitman. She was retired from the Department of Defense with the U.S. Civil Service at Maxwell Air Force Base.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Willard Earl Williams and a son Timothy Earl Williams. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bruce and Marylynn Williams; a granddaughter, Holland Joy Williams and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Hugh Hollon, Duke Caro, Les Pittman, Chip Powell, Joel Smith and Marc Williams. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:30PM to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
