Richard A Edwards age 70, of Prattville, Al, formally of Montgomery, Al, passed away on January 8, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Helen Edwards; his brother, Marvin Edwards Jr.; and his sisters, Mary Kathrine Mones and Gloria Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda L Edwards; his children, Cliff Edwards and Rheanna Edwards; his sisters, Carmen Fluker and Lynn Duncan; and his granddaughter, Avaleigh Edwards.
Richard graduated from Lanier High School in Montgomery, Al. He was an US Air Force Veteran and a Vietnam Veteran. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, and he coached youth football and basketball. He also loved Auburn University sports.
A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
