Anthony George Clifton Smith

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of a most beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Tony was a truly happy, caring and loving man who brought joy, laughter and warmth to each and every day. He will forever be remembered for his good humour, his ability to always find a way to make us laugh and the gift for always finding the positive side; even in difficult moments. He was an amazing support and you would always find him cheering you on. The precious memories we shared will be treasured by us all. Losing him leaves a hole in our hearts that words cannot begin to describe. Our father and mother shared a lifetime of love, friendship, laughter, challenges and precious memories. We will forever cherish our time with him and continue to share the jokes that only he himself would laugh at; affectionately known as a “Papa Joke”. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren and all that they accomplished. Their success, milestones and watching them grow into the people they have become brought him so much happiness and pride. His family was one of the greatest joys of his life, just as he always will be, the greatest joy of ours.

We have chosen to have a private family cremation, with a Celebration of Life planned for spring 2027. This will be an opportunity for all of his friends, family and those who knew and loved him to come together, share memories and celebrate his amazing life.
