He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Marguerite Taylor; his sisters Linda Clark (David) and Pauline; his wife Gwendolyn.
He is survived by his daughter Cindy (Matthew); son Samuel; his beloved granddaughters Alyssa and Bronte; his nephews Michael (Michelle) and Geoffrey.
Art was born in Newmarket, ON and lived in Bradford, ON until he got the travel bug and started making his way west with the intention of going to Australia. He made it to Prince George, BC where he met Gwen--who he married and settled down with. He was an avid fisher and camper which morphed into his love of photography in his later years. As he closed in on retirement, he and Gwen started spending their winters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where they made many friends and had a wonderful time.
Art took joy in being goofy and gave himself the title of “Goofy Grandpa” to Alyssa and Bronte. He took great pride in his granddaughters and spending time with them was one of the biggest joys in his life.
Celebration of Life will be September 28, 12 to 3 pm at the Prince George Legion.
