Bernie Murdick, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 29, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on May 2, 1952, Bernie lived a full and meaningful life, grounded by hard work, love for the outdoors, and a deep devotion to his family. He was most at home in his shop building things, being out in nature, hunting, fishing, or simply taking in the beauty of the land around him. An avid outdoorsman, he shared his passions and skills generously with others.
A skilled welder, millwright, and carpenter, Bernie was always building something. Whether working with his hands or offering support to someone in need, he was known for his reliability, craftmanship, and problem-solving spirit. He left behind not just projects and handiwork, but a legacy of determination and care. His hands shaped more than wood and steel-they shaped the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife Lynda of 54 years, his children Bill, Tim, Kristi (Dennis); his grandchildren Jordan (Devon), Noah (Adara) and his great granddaughter Asha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, and his 2 very precious grandchildren Jody and Landon. Their memories remain cherished and ever-present in the hearts of the family.
Bernie will be remembered for his strength, his quiet humor, his love of the outdoors, and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He built a life of purpose and left a foundation of love, resilience, and stories that will be told for generations.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
