Beth Iona Lafreniere

Betty passed away on April 24, 2026. She is survived by her two daughters Debbie (Dean) Downey and Yvonne Dexter of Prince George; son Victor (Patty) of Campbell River; daughter in law Louise Lafreniere; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; sister’s Dianne Blackett, Charity Higgs and Toni Lutyk, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Albert; daughter Julie; son Ivan; brother Bob; parents Curly and Etna Chrétien.

Betty loved her flowers, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. When anyone asked her "how are you doing Betty", she would smile and say I am TICKITYBOO. Mom spent her last few years at Riverbend Manor where she liked to socialize and had many friends.

There will be no service as per Bettys request.

The Family would like to thank everyone at the Hospice House for making Betty (mom) comfortable until she received her wings.
