On Monday, September 22nd, this gentle soul, Bill Heather, left this world and us behind for his eternal home in heaven to be part of the family of God. Left to mourn his passing are sisters Ina Field (Gary), Joan Epp (Randy), Donna Reif (Glenn) and Dolores Shier (James). His nieces and nephews; David Field, Matthew (Miranda) Field and Eden and Kieran; Emily (Chris) Pike and Sam and Lydia; Audrey (Greg) Esselmont and Liam and Elliot; James (Renata) Heather and Sophia and JJ.
We want to thank his Prince George family of friends whose companionship he has enjoyed for most of his adult life. He spoke of you often when he was in Saskatchewan and Alberta visiting us. He worked for BC Highways and YRB and in retirement loved his time at ECRA. He enjoyed the people, his lunches and volunteer work there.
For your help in navigating our time in Prince George to attend to Bill’s affairs we are grateful to Monte Shipmaker and Warren Kean.
Ina, Bill and Joan also enjoyed a Heather family reunion in Unity, SK this past July. Who knew when we said goodbye it would be for the last time. The loss is fresh for us all and our love for him will not grow cold. We will be taking him “home” to Saskatchewan for burial next to family.
