Dear Cathy, Jeff and family,

I can’t express how sorry I am for your loss.

I have so many great memories of Cody as he grew up on CSC rides. My first one is of this little red headed boy riding down the trail, sitting every which way on his pony to later ones where he was standing on top of a huge felled tree. To a very “challenging” Hunt Camp Ride where Cody led us back to civilization. We all thought we were lost forever and wished we had brought more food.

He was always up to something that made us “old folks” laugh. There was one morning on a work weekend in Wiarton, I woke up to find one of Ruttan’s horses on my high line and no Sierra. I found her on someone else’s high line. That same morning there was a “round bale” up against the outhouse door. Hope no one was in a hurry.

Great memories that I will always cherish. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We are terribly sorry for the passing of Cody, we want to extend our deepest condolences to Cody’s family, Shelby and all of his loved ones. We are very thankful to have gotten to know him in this past year, and we will keep his memory close to us, treasure the time spent and remember his spirit with the shared love he and our son had for trucks and tractors, sweet memories we’ll keep in our hearts (this photo is the last memories of them playing together with a new excavator, one could see Cody’s inner kid coming to play, and this is how we will love to remember him).
We wish you the peace that comes in knowing that the memory of him will shine forever.

We were so sorry to hear about Cody. Our sincerest condolences. One memory of Cody was of him standing on the back of his horse and another of him rumbling through the Wiarton Camp with his one of a kind truck. He will be missed by many but all who knew him will have great memories of a great kid.
