Dear June Neil and family:  We are thinking of you daily.  We wish there was some way we could ease the pain.  From 1971 we have know that little guy and watched him grow to the well respected man he is. I think the song "I Did It My Way" was written just for Dallas because he sure did, come hell or high water, and what a lot of respect it got him. He was very special to us and we will miss him terribly but will cherish the good times we had together.

To the Mayert family,

I am so sorry for your loss.  Dallas was an amazing man with one of the funniest personalities and sense of humour I have ever known.  My heart goes out to all of you and may the happiness and friendships Dallas made in life help you through this difficult time.  He truly was a remarkable person.

June & Neil, Sheldon & Cora- Lee: We can only imagine how you are hurting & want you to know, we are here if we can do anything to help you. I keep thinking of when we first met you & Dallas was just like 4 years old & how we watched him grow up to be the man he had become. We will miss him as well. Our extended family sends there condolences to you as well.

Davina, Lane & Trennis: We are so deaply sorry to know that you have lost your partner in life Davina & the boys losing their Daddy!! We can only imagine how you are feeling!! Dear Davina and family,

I know that words are inadequate at a time like this but I wanted you to know how very sorry I am for the loss of your husband Dallas.

It is times like this that our faith is put to the test. Knowing that you must accept his passing and give thanks for the wonderful life he lived. As sad as it will be, you will always have the memory of him to hold in your heart.

Often, time seems to move so slowly at a time of tragedy and healing moves at its own pace. Be kind to yourself Davina and take it one day at a time.I know your heart is aching and I am truly sorry for your loss and pray that you find the strength to see you and your boys through this sad and difficult time. 

In ways we do not understand, our loved ones will be present in our lives forever. Something good will happen tomorrow or the day after.
But for now, what will move through you is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. 
You may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, you will begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. And that his life gave you memories too beautiful to forget.

To Neil and June and the rest of those who loved Dallas.  I taught him in Grade 3 at Hart Highlands and remember him so affectionately.  He was a very 'busy' boy but oh, was he cute and lovable.
I know how much he loved snowmachines, cars etc.  I can remember that even in gr. 3 he loved snowmobiles.
