Daryl will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nora Reid; his daughter Trudy Michaloski (Troy); his stepsons Jason Reid (Kirstin) and Dillion Reid; and his cherished grandchildren Breanna Michaloski (Sean), Landon Michaloski (Khya), Alyssa Fitzpatrick, Noah Reid, Harper Gordon and Everley Gordon--who brought him so much happiness and pride.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Louetta Murphy; his sisters Audrey Sanford and Barbara Murphy; and his brother Bobby Murphy.
Throughout his life, Daryl wore many hats and was never one to shy away from hard work. His working years took him in many directions, beginning at the mill in Prince George, followed by driving truck for Freightways, working as a salesman for Lance Bisset, auxiliary RCMP and later working for Statistics Canada and delivering cars for local dealerships. Daryl experienced a little bit of everything throughout his years and certainly gathered plenty of stories along the way.
Daryl together with his wife Nora built a life filled with memories, family, and companionship. Family was important to Daryl, and some of his happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them, sharing stories, and passing along a little wisdom from a life well lived. Daryl always had a story to tell, and with all his life experiences, there was never a shortage of tales to share.
He also loved hunting, fishing and spending time in the bush with his family. Some of his fondest memories were made camping, enjoying the warmth of a campfire, taking in the peacefulness of the outdoors, and having his one beer at the end of the day. Those simple moments were often the ones that meant the most.
Daryl had a heart of gold. He was a man who cared deeply about his family, valued the simple things in life, and left his mark on the people fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his stories, his experiences, his love of the outdoors, and, most importantly, the love he had for his family.
Though he may be gone, the memories, laughter, and stories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
