Dena’s generosity touched every life she encountered. She had an extraordinary gift for caring for people, for animals, and for anyone who needed a soft place to land.
Beautiful inside and out, Dena carried a heart that never stopped giving. Through all of her struggles, she continued to offer comfort, encouragement, and a listening ear to anyone going through hard times. Her compassion made others feel safe, seen, and loved.
A creative soul, Dena found expression in everything she did. From her cooking to her jewelry making, to the treasures she collected. Every meal, every piece, and every keepsake held a bit of her heart.
She also had an incredible eye for photography, leading her to create Forever Young Photography, a business that captured life’s most meaningful moments with warmth and authenticity.
Dena also had a wonderful sense of humor and could make anyone laugh, often finding the funny side of even the hardest days. Her laughter was contagious, and her playful nature brought joy to everyone who knew her.
Dena had an endless collection of silly shirts. Each one with a joke, pun, or cat on it. You never knew what she’d show up wearing, but you could always count on it to make you giggle.
She is survived by her partner Darren; her daughters Kyra and Kayla; her mother Patricia; her brother Britt; her beloved cats George, Goo, Puff, Grace, and Tiggy and the many friends she made along the way.
She is predeceased by her father Victor.
As the family is not yet ready to hold a service, we ask that those who loved Dena continue to honour her in their hearts and stories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Prince George SPCA.
Her heart was big, her laughter infectious, and her love everlasting.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
We love you so much mom.
