IN THE CARE OF

First Memorial Funeral Services Lakewood Chapel

Don was born on an Ontario farm to Elwood and Jessie Campbell. The youngest of 6 with 3 brother and 2 sisters.

Don and Vera were blessed with 8 children, Linda, Sharon (Russ), Donna (Roy), Nancy (deceased), Cynthia (Brian), Brian (Kim), Timothy (Kjersti), and Tamara.A grandfather to 15 and great grandfather to 17.

Don joined the Canadian Army in 1950 and served with Lord Strathconas Horse Royal Canadians. A combat veteran of the Korean War, he was honourably discharged in September 1953 just after he married Vera.

Don became a millwright in Kapuskasing before moving to Prince George in 1968 where he worked until retirement (1992) at Intercontinental Pulp. He was a stout community volunteer, aiding the community or those displaced by conflict. A master gardener, hunter, and fisherman. Don’s Old Fashioned Fudge became a community staple at craft fairs, functions and sometimes his front door spanning several decades.

It’s with a heavy heart that I now must say goodbye to the love of my life as he now travels to his next adventure.
