Florence Martha Trask

15 September, 1931 – 7 July, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Mom was born and raised in Prince George, B.C. She married Philip Russell Trask in 1951.

Mom worked at B.C. Tel as a telephone operator until 1956. In 1967 mom delivered mail in the rural areas of Prince George till 1979.

Mom enjoyed 5 pin bowling leagues for several years. In her later years she passed the time playing Cribbage, Scrabble, and Bingo with family and friends. In 1979 mom and dad moved to Abbotsford, B.C. dad passed away in 2015, mom moved back to Prince George in 2023 and resided in Rainbow Lodge till her passing on July 7th.

Mom is survived by her children Diana Day (Gary), James Trask (Karen, deceased), Gail Trask (Morris Mazur), Glenn Trask,

Jane Hartung (Dave, deceased), Colleen Trask (Aaron), Marcy Forgo (Shawn, deceased).

Also surviving mom are her grandchildren, Darrin and Steven Day (Kylie Miller) Brigette McLean (Stan) Jared Trask, and Amanda Petrisor (Danny), her great grandchildren Darrell, Brayden, Hailey, and Sidney, sister Sonia Lange; and several nieces and nephews as well as several of her children’s childhood friends that were part of our family structure for many years.

Predeceased by her son Leslie Philip Trask May 14th, 1977, her husband Philip Russell Trask January 17th, 2015, parents Wilhelm Ferdinand Lange and Ida Helene Lange, brothers Reinhold and Arthur Lange, sisters Irma Solowick, Clara Garrett, Lucy Lange, Rose Adams, Bertha Kalynchuk, Rose Rendall, and Selma Krumpholz.

Florence's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Oxford Senior Care home in Abbotsford [2018 till 2023] for their care of mom; as well as the nurses and staff at the Rainbow Lodge in Prince George for their excellent care and professionalism, treating mom with the utmost dignity and treating the family with complete care and attention at a difficult time in our lives.

‘Celebration of Life’ will be held at the Spruce Capital Senior’s Recreation Center
