Gary spent his working career as a CAT owner-operator and truck owner-driver. He continued driving truck until the age of 70, something he was very proud of.
Above all, Gary cherished time with family and friends. He loved hosting large gatherings filled with laughter, music, dancing, and games.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda May Parrish; his children, Virginia (Bob) Hellam, Heather (Rob McCallum) Parrish, April (Rino Lagace) Parrish, Linda Parrish, and Mark Parrish; and his many grandchildren: Nikki, Tia, Colt, Savanna, Roxanne, Catalina, Natasha, Christopher, Matthew, and Jaxson. He was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Aidan, Aria, Cash, Lawson, Ryder, Dalton, Walker, Levi, Reilly, Mackayla, McKenna, Mackenzie, Ava, Hailey, Waylon, Teaghan, Logan, and Laine. Gary is also survived by his siblings, Gloria (Dennis) Davidson, Ginger (Tom) Morin, Karen (Shaun) Luciow-Biech, Stan Parrish, and Jim (Robyn) Parrish, along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Marcel and Charles; and his sister, Shirleen.
Gary was larger than life. Over the years, he gathered many lifelong friends and truly enjoyed the time he spent with all of them.
In his later years, Gary especially enjoyed the time he spent at the 4th Avenue Seniors Centre, where he and May would gather with friends to share coffee, swap stories, and dance at the many community gatherings.
