Giovanni Mario Visona

Giovanni (John) Mario Visona John passed away at Simon Fraser Lodge in Prince George on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Born November 27, 1934 in Valdagno, Italy he immigrated to Canada in 1956 residing in many areas of BC including the lower mainland, Vancouver Island, Princeton, Mackenzie and finally in Prince George where he originally started out. While living in Squamish, in 1961 he met and married his first wife Wilma Jean DeBeck. Together they had three sons. Giovanni is predeceased by his first wife Wilma and son Edwin as well as his mother Ida, father Mario, brothers Luciano and Paulino and sister Paola. Survived by: son Stephen (Vanessa) and their children; Tiawna, Natasha and Jordon. Edwin's three children; Alysia, Amanda and Braiden. Son Brian (Jody) and their children; Kayla and Mitchell. Second wife Audrey and her children; Dane, Derek and Lisa. Brother Antonio (Giovanna) and their family, sister in law Lenora and her family. Many nieces, nephews and extended family. Giovanni first and foremost was a mechanic of the highest level and enjoyed family, dancing, singing, the outdoors and life in general. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. A heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and doctors at Simon Fraser Lodge for all their love and devotion to patients and residents of the home.
