

Harvey Daniel Schroeder was born on July 15, 1945 on a farm near Leroy, SK and passed away June 16, 2026 in Prince George, BC. He started working as a soils technician at the South Saskatchewan River dam in Outlook, SK. He attended SIAST (Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology) and trained to be an Industrial Mechanic. He was a Red Seal Millwright and worked at Alwinsal Potash Mine in Lanigan, SK, Ipsco (Interprovincial Steel Company) Steel Mill in Regina, SK, Great Canadian Oil Sands (Suncor) in Fort McMurray, AB, and Canfor in Prince George.
Harvey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be remembered for his strong Christian faith and values, his conviction to hard work and love of doing various projects like building and fixing just about anything. He was a devoted Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and also a Prince George Cougars fan. He treasured many trips back to Saskatchewan visiting relatives and friends and many camping and fishing trips with his children and grandchildren.
Harvey was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Hadie Schroeder and his sister Valerie. Left to mourn him are his wife Beverly; daughters Corinne Faller (Warren) and Lisa Johnson (Mark); grandchildren Nicholas Faller, Regan Faller, Dylan Emes and Keira Emes; sisters Louise Shannon, Beatrice Valentine (Keith), Eleanor Hladysh (Wally); brothers-in-law Gary Ramshaw (Phyllis James) and Pastor Mark Ramshaw (Ailyn) as well as nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church of Prince George, 4590 5th Avenue, on Friday, July 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with a light lunch and refreshments following the service in the banquet room.
