It is with great sadness that we announce that Ian Keith Bruce Wallace has passed to be with his Lord and his beloved wife Barbara on 31, July, 2026. Born in Minster, Kent, England, on 22 November 1939,. Ian came to Canada around the early 1980’s. He was a teacher and headmaster in Burns Lake and a teacher in Fort St. John and Prince George teaching at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Prince George.
Ian came to Canada in the early 1980’s. He was a Frontier Apostle for several years, a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Cathedral Assembly #1321. Ian was also Cantor at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church for several years.
Ian was predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara, and his parents Thomas and Edith Wallace. He is survived by his loving son, Ian Ambrose Patrick Wallace. His brother David Wallace (Sarah), Amy Wallace (niece), and Jonathan Wallace (nephew) (all in England) and Andrew Wallace (nephew) (in Oregon, U. S. A.), and Clare Wallace (niece) (in England) and several cousins in England, Margaret (sister) and a niece in England. Ian is also remembered by Teresa Wichtacz (Sister-in-law) (Richmond BC) and 2 very close friends John Bloomfield and Enid Holmes (in England) and many friends in England and Canada.
We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who cared for Ian at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and Prince George Hospice House. Thank You for caring in a kind and caring manner.
