JOSIP (Joe, Joja) PAVICIC May 4, 1933-Nov 20, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Tata and grandfather Dida. Surrounded by his loved ones, Joe passed away peacefully on November 20, 2013. Joe was born in Boricevac, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Joe worked in sawmills, construction and paving projects. He was well respected for his strong work ethic and he easily made friends with the many people he met along the way. Joe was known for his joyful and friendly spirit, his love of music, singing, dancing and playing the accordion. Above all, Joe loved his family dearly and his happiest moments were the family gatherings sharing laughter, love and creating wonderful memories. Left to celebrate his life are his wife Stefie, his four daughters Mary (Mike), Lilly (Robert), Vicky (Kreso) and Josie (Melvin) six grandchildren: Andrew, Emily, Elizabeth, Julia, Daniel and Matthew. Also survived by his sister Jela Matijevic and family as well as many relatives in Croatia. Joe's family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Simon Fraser Lodge and Dr. Devon Reddy for their care and kindness. Family and friends are invited to join us for Prayers which will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Prince George Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Kodyban Lodge in Joe's honor would be appreciated. Assman's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. Tako je tuzno bez tebe, Tata i Dida Volimo te puno Neka dragi Bog nagradi tvoju dobrotu i ljubav prema nama. Bices u nasim srcima za uvjek
