OBITUARY

Judy Elizabeth Dykeman

20 September, 1960 – 25 February, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

First Memorial Funeral Services Lakewood Chapel

Judy passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, after a decade-long battle with cancer, with her loving husband Shawn by her side.

Judy cherished her life and the people in it. She was a thoughtful and doting wife, mother, best friend, and the world’s best nanny to her grand-babies. She spent her summers at Cluculz Lake, her favorite place. Never one to complain, Judy endured over 150 rounds of chemotherapy, 10 rounds of radiation, and multiple surgeries with gratitude and grace, making many friends along the way.

Originally from New Brunswick, Judy and Shawn moved out west in 1982, eventually planting roots in B.C., where they began their life and family together. They settled in Prince George in 1998 with their two children.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn; daughter Leah Feenstra (Justin); son Evan (Sarah); grandsons Leo and Thomas Feenstra; father Robert Eckstein; sisters Jill Johnston (Ed) and Jennifer Brewer (Mark); brother Robert Eckstein Jr. (Debbie); brother-in-law Peter Waugh; mother-in-law Sharon Regier; many nieces and nephews; her bestie Mona, and countless other dear friends and relatives. She is now reunited with her mother Shirley Eckstein and sister Janet Waugh.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at the PG Cancer Centre, as well as the many others who had a part in her medical journey over the past 10 years.
