January 3, 1955 - June 23, 2024
It is with immense sadness that we, her family, announce the sudden passing of Kathy on June 23rd in Prince George, BC. Kathy was born in Rimbey, AB and grew up in Likely, BC eventually moving to and settling in Prince George. She met and married Gordon Magnant in 1974 and had two sons. She moved to Fort St John in 1998, where she met and married Randy Meek and helped him raise his two daughters. Kathy and Randy eventually relocated to Prince George from Fort St John.
Kathy was a quiet and gentle person, who always made sure that you had all the buns or baking you needed or wanted and that you had a warm crocheted blanket to cuddle under. She loved her kids, but she LIVED for her grandchildren. Her pride for them could be seen in her face as soon as she started telling you a story about one of them and you could feel her love for them fill the room. She thought they were the funniest, sweetest, most stubborn people in the world, and she absolutely adored them for it. We will miss you forever "Lady" Grandma.
She is survived by her husband Randy Meek. Her Children Wade (Kim) Magnant, Jim (Crystal) Magnant, Chantel Meek and Shelby (Jordan) Meek. Grandchildren Dominic, Devon, Ella, Brinley, Addison, Adilynn, Bentley, Hazel and Jorge. Her sisters Myrna and Karen and her brother Nelson (Anita) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Jim and Lorna Malcolm, and brothers Jim and John Malcolm.
The Celebration of Kathy's Life to be held on August 31st, 2024.
