Born in Winnipeg to William and Mable Howe. Linda was the 2nd of 4 children and the only daughter. Mom and Dad met in high school and married on November 28, 1964. They lived happily together in Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Campbell River, Port Hardy and settled in Prince George in the winter of 1978.
Mom worked as a stenographer for an insurance company and later at the CIBC where she worked to close to 20 years. She loved her home and found joy and contentment in simple pleasures – knitting, gardening, camping, fishing, watching curling and rooting for the B.C. Lions. She also loved animals, especially her small dog Ginger.
She is survived by her loving husband Doug; son Mike (Tana); daughter Darla (Karl); 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; and brothers Richard and George.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5 at 12pm at Assmans Funeral Chapel.
