Mary passed away from cancer at age 57, with her husband and 5 children at her side. During her last few days Mary told us, "I'm ready to go home to be with Jesus." She is survived by her loving family: husband Greg; sons Dane (Johanna), Leighton, Brandon (Sandra), and Trevor (Lindsay); daughter Tiffany (Jonathan); parents Ted and Ethel Thompson; siblings Peter (Janet), David, Michael, Mark (Jessica), Janet (Steven), and Jennifer; grandchildren Hannah, Coeyn, William, and Evelyn; and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank all of her doctors, nurses, and friends for their wonderful support through this journey.
Mary enjoyed cooking and baking in her home. She loved her family and always took care of them. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, quilting, knitting, boating, and almost-daily walks along the Nechako river.
A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Alliance Church on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prince George Hospice Society would be greatly appreciated.
