It is with immense sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Minnie was surrounded by her immediate family in her final hours and was able to say goodbye with loving and caring words in a way that only she could do. She was loved endlessly by all who knew her, and in turn, her love for everyone else was unwavering and unconditional. She always thought of those around her before thinking of herself. Minnie’s home was a place for those seeking love, conversation and comfort to which the door was always open. She found most of her enjoyment to be in a good conversation, a difficult puzzle and spending time with her immediate family (also a good daytime soap). Her favorite ways to spend the time were fishing, family gatherings and making perogies.. All of which will live on in her memory.
Born in Chelan, Saskatchewan to parents Peter and Helen Chalupiak. She is survived by her children Marvin(Bonnie) and Jim(Susan) - grandchildren Heather(Ryan), Pam(Shawn), Mike, Jo(Justin), Josh(Kayla), Becky(Rob) - great grandchildren Emmy, Griff, Connor, Haylen, Norah and Graham - brother John Chaplin and sister Rose Grosul. She was predeceased by husband Lawrence and daughter Veronica and infant son Joey.
The family would like to sincerely thank the incredible nurses, doctors and healthcare support staff at UHNBC emergency and the Family Medicine Unit who ensured her final moments were full of love and for providing such special comfort and care for her.
