The De Melo family immigrated to Canada in 1968 and became proud Canadian citizens in 1979. Nuno was raised in Kitimat and Terrace before his family settled in Prince George, BC.
From a young age, Nuno loved model airplanes, trains and cars. He was a tinkerer at heart. He loved to take things apart and see how things worked and operated. He was a hard worker from a young age. He saved all his money and bought his first guitar and taught himself how to play. He had jam sessions and played at church. He was also an avid collector at heart. Nuno worked at NCP for 21 years and then pursued a career in carpentry.
He was married to his ex-wife Tina and they had 2 children: Isaiah and Sequoia. In 2023, Nuno became a grandfather to his first grandson, Jesse. His heart was full of joy and he was so proud. Nuno had a lot of aspirations for the future: retirement, travelling and watching his grandson Jesse grow up.
Nuno was predeceased by his parents Maria and Jose, and his sister Christine.
He is survived by his son Isaiah (Jaid), grandson Jesse, his daughter Sequoia, his brother Jose (Brooklin), his sister Connie (Jeff), nephew Caleb (Nelly) and great nephew Noah, nephews Lucas and Nathan, brother-in-law Dio (Christine - deceased), nephew Dallas (Chelsea) and great nephew Kale, great nieces Audrey and Ellie and niece Dezera (Sid).
Nuno will be missed and remembered in our hearts forever.
