Orland Leroy Fritz

Orland is survived by his children: Michael Fritz; Audra Baldinger (Michael Baldinger); and Sherr Hall (Dale Shivkumar). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: David Baldinger (Keisha), Joseph Baldinger (Abigail), Ciara Hall (Rob), Cheyenna Hall, and Katrina Fritz; and his great-grandchildren: Noah Fritz, Ella Lowe, and Finley Lowe.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Audrey Jean Fritz; his brother Robert McPhee (Barbara); and his sisters Hulda Tubman (Lindsay) and Winifred Silvinski (Peter).

Orland will be forever remembered as a devoted family man with a deep love for God and a strong moral compass. He was an avid outdoorsman who lived for weekends in nature and cherished countless fishing trips. A gifted carpenter, he had a remarkable ability to transform wood into lasting beauty, and his intarsia creations remain treasured pieces of his legacy.

To his wife, he was lovingly known as “Sugarbabe,” though to many he was simply Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Grampy, and a loyal friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Ross and Helen Rouch, and John Saunders, for their kindness, care, and unwavering support, especially during the past few difficult years.

May he rest where the waters are calm, the forests are endless, and the fish are always biting. His spirit lives on in every sunrise, every quiet lake, and every moment we gather as family.
