Ric was born in Kamloops BC April 12, 1932, but spent most of his years growing up in and around Richmond BC until finally residing in Prince George in 1969.
Since dad has passed, almost everyone I’ve talked to has remarked on how dad was unique in his personality and how his sense of humour always brought a smile, that he was a character. Sure, he always had his “Stupid dad Jokes” and his “Pose”. Many will remember dad for his outspoken personality and many for his bad golf games and his famous saying “I never drink alone”. Dad was always up for adventure whether that be fishing, trying to find the elusive nugget of gold or most recently, the “Last Hole” pool game.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth Francis Schofield September 24, 1937 - January 10, 2003. His mom Anne Isabella May Burrow 1907 – 1982 (Barney). Brothers Stan, Gil and Bruce Schofield, sister Evelyn Bergman and son Chuck Moore.
Ric is survived by sons Ric Schofield, Ken (Rosa) Moore, Brad (Raylene) Schofield and daughter Lyn (Jim) Buxton and daughter-in-law Patsy Moore. But let us not forget the many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sure, dad had a long life and supported many, with over 100 donations to the blood donor clinic. He worked hard, provided for his family, instilled good morals and work ethics. However, lets not forget that he never made it to the Azores or paragliding or whatever his other bucket list items may have been. With this I remind everyone reading this to live your dreams, even 92 years is too short of time. Love you pops miss you forever …..
