Stefania Starzyk

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Stefania Starzyk, whose generous spirit touched countless lives. Stefania was born on April 17, 1955, in Wesołow, Poland and moved to Prince George, Canada, in December 1988 with her husband, Zbigniew Starzyk, to raise their family. Stefania passed away on June 6, 2026.

Stefania found her greatest joy in caring for others and nurturing the relationships that meant so much to her. She remembered every birthday and special occasion, anticipated everyone’s needs and was always there when someone needed her. Picking berries was one of her greatest passions and she loved sharing that joy with others. If you knew Stefania, chances are you were invited on one of her many berry-picking outings, where friendship and conversation were plentiful and where you likely admired the remarkable speed with which she could fill a bucket.

Stefania will be lovingly remembered by her husband Zbigniew; her daughters Arleta (Frank) and Kathy (Clarke); her sons Chris (Melanie) and Adam; her adored grandchildren Alex, Oliver, Christian, Isabel, Jacob, Mia, Ella and Alexa.

She is also survived by her siblings Jan (Emilia), Mike (Barbara) and Walter (Teresa) as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stefania was welcomed into heaven by her parents Michal and Maria and her brother Michal.

Mass in Honour of Stefania will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 6:00 pm at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 2414 Vanier Drive, Prince George, BC.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 12:30 pm at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 2414 Vanier Drive, Prince George, BC.

Flowers or donations to St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church are welcomed at the service. Donations to the church can done via e-transfer to email address [email protected]
