Bobby A Steele, Sr.

Bob Alex Steele, 82, of Iaeger, WV, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.

Bob was born September 10, 1934, in Iaeger, WV to the late Kenneth and Mabel Belcher Steele. He was a retired NS Railway employee with 40+ years of service. He was an avid Fisherman and hunter that loved nature and loved being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Steele Ackley and ex-wife, the late Ruth Rozzell Steele, mother of his first born.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carrol Kay Long Steele; three sons, Bob Steele, Jr. and wife, Teresa of Hamlet, NC, Rob Steele and wife, Carol of Hillsborough, NC and Tracy Steele of Iaeger; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons, Taylor, Austin, and Hunter; a brother, Ken Steele, Jr and wife, Ardella Lockhart Steele of Chesapeake, VA; a niece, Tamah Steele of Virginia Beach, VA; numerous cousins; sister-in-law, Sandra Long of Iaeger, WV; brother-in-law, Ted Long of Union, WV; working and hunting buddies, Noah Hardin, Doug Cox, Ralph Mowdy, and the late William Shaw.

Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 noon Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Princeton, WV with Pastor John Green officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV.

Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Sunday at the Mausoleum.
