Raymond Junior Combs

Raymond Junior Combs, 76, of Princeton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his home.

Born July 18, 1941 in Bud; he was a son of the late Franklin and Estella Burrell Combs.

Raymond loved his church family at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church where he was a faithful member for many years. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Raymond had worked for Bluefield Gas and Green Valley Water for several years and for WV Pipeline for more than 30 years and dearly loved it.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and Ronald Combs; and three sisters, Blanche Cline, Beulah Pendleton, and Peggy Baker.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Cathy Combs; two sons, Bill Combs, and RJ Combs, and wife, Tamara; a daughter, Vicki Johnson and husband, Jim; mother-in-law, Helen Moody; granddaughters, Kristin Johnson, Kensley Combs, and like a granddaughter, Kaitlin Roland for they melted his heart; two grandsons, Brantley and Easton Combs, which were his tractor buddies; brothers, Roger Combs and wife, Chris and Doug Combs and wife Lynn; sisters, Rosa Ramsey and husband, Joel, Betty Lilly, Ann Whitt and husband, Stan, and Karen Bishop and husband, Jeff; sisters-in-law, Dee Combs and Karen Combs; brothers-in-law, Don Cline, Boyd Pendleton, and David Baker; several nieces, nephews; and extended family whom he loved dearly.

In keeping with his wishes, Raymond’s Graveside Service will be held 3:30PM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton with Rev. Thomas Marsh officiating with burial to follow.

Doug, Roger, RJ, and Bill Combs, David Baker, Jim Johnson, Raub Cook and Steve Pendleton will be serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to gather at the funeral home to travel to the gravesite together.
