Ethel Lucille Parker

Ethel Lucille Parker, a Prineville resident passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was 91 years of age. A graveside service will be held for family on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10 :00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at Accent Funeral Chapel in Meridian, Idaho at 11:30 a.m.

Ethel was born in Sheridan, Missouri on September 19, 1918 to Elmer Herbert & Eleanor ‘Nellie’ (Dignan) Lemerick. She graduated from the eighth grade in Grant City, Missouri with honors. She married James Corwin Parker in Melbourne, Iowa on May 1, 1941.

Ethel worked as a housekeeper in the healthcare industry and was cared for by their home visitors for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Ethel enjoyed gardening, baking, and was an avid reader in her later years.

Ethel is survived by her son Jerry and his wife Carol Parker of Prineville, Oregon, and John Lawrence Parker of Caldwell, Idaho. Brothers; Fred Lemerick of Middleton, Idaho , Barton Lemerick of Percival, Iowa. Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James in 1963, one sister and three brothers.
