

a Prineville resident passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at her home with her husband. She was 73 years of age.
A Celebration of Life will be at The Prineville Elks Lodge 1814, August 12, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for family and friends. Judy was born in Bend, Oregon on February 12, 1939 to Clyde and Sylva (Severance) Gumpert. She attended and graduated from Crook County High School in 1956. She married James Boring in Carson City, Nevada on April 29, 1972. Judy loved to travel with Jim and her dogs in their RV throughout the states. She also enjoyed the many different casinos and did fairly well there. Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
She worked as a banker most of her life in a variety of banks in the Valley and Central Oregon. She met Jim in the early 1970’s when she worked at the credit union in the valley.
Judy was active with her husband Jim at the Prineville Elks Lodge 1814 and always by his side.
Judy is survived by her husband Jim Boring of Prineville, three children; Verl Smith of Portland, Oregon, Myla Zimmerman of Bend, Oregon, Kristie Swanlund of Florence, Oregon. Two grandchildren; Anthony and Bruce Cholin and one great-granddaughter Ashlyn Cholin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother; Gary Gumpert.
