A private burial was held at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
Kay was born in Empire, Oregon on July 4, 1930 to Richard Mitts and Lydia
(Smulter). She attended school in Skamania, WA. She married Richard Rose in N.
Bonneville, WA on September 27, 1950.
Kay worked as a caregiver.
Kay loved to read and play card games, enjoyed bird watching. She was a lifetime
member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and was in the Bunco club and was the camp host
at Walton Lake for years. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Kay is survived by her husband Richard Rose of Prineville, four children David and
his wife Marie Rose of Beaver Creek, OR Julie and her husband Doug Poling of
Prineville, OR Ken and Linda his wife Rose of Bend, OR Jim and his wife Melissa Rose
of Billings, MT, one brother Bill and his wife Shirley Mitts of North Bend, OR.
Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, one niece and three brother-in-laws.
