Sylvia was born in Scio, Oregon on November 6, 1919 to Juliana and Effie (Prokop) Hrudka.

She was raised and attended school in Scio, OR, where her parents operated a vegetable farm. She married Andrew Kosinski in Salem, Oregon in 1953. Sylvia worked as a hotel maid in Salem and in Bend. Sylvia moved to Bend in 1983 from Salem, OR. She also worked in a cannery, and operated a daycare she was a very hard worker and could do many things.

Sylvia enjoyed gardening especially flowers, embroidery work. She enjoyed T.V. and loved to socialize and eating at the Olive Garden and traveling. Following Andrews death she lived in Bend until February 2012 she will be remembered as a hard worker and will be greatly missed

Sylvia is survived by her children Vivian Hastings and her husband Gordon of Anaheim, CA Anna Sonnenburg her husband Robert of Bend, OR and Diana Hedrick and her husband Mike of Prineville, OR, one sister Joanne of Salem, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andrew on April 18, 1985, four brothers and two sisters.
