Providence Albert J. Chace, Jr., 60, of Pinehurst Avenue, died suddenly Wednesday, August 27, 2014, after being stricken at home. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy H. (Savard) Chace for the past thirty-one years.Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Albert J. and Gertrude (Williams) Chace, Sr.Al was a Call Receiver for AAA Southern New England for the past six years, and previously employed by RIPTA for over twenty years.In addition to his wife Dorothy, he leaves a son, Albert E. Chace; a daughter, Devon-Jeanne Chace; two sisters and their families, Jane and Jack Drowne, Carol and Robert Brown, godchild, Jeffrey R. D'Oddio; mom-in-law Dorothy H. Savard; in-laws Joanie and Rick D'Oddio, and Joan Angell. The funeral will be held Wednesday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4 - 8 pm.
