Aminah Aisha Fofana

Aminah Aisha Fofana, born September 19, 2020 passed away on January 28, 2021 in Hasbro Children's Hospital. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Moussa and Italia (Cotugno) Fofana and sister of Sofiah Fofana with whom she shared the same birth day.

In only 4 months Aminah brought us so much joy and showed us how to love in a world of uncertainty and chaos. Aminah our fat little turkey was the happiest baby ever, she loved being held and talked to. She was so alert and active. Always smiling and keeping me company. She loved to watch her sister act silly. She will always be here with all of us watching over us.

Aminah leaves her maternal grandparents, Erica Cotugno Barnes, "Nonnie", and Exondus Barnes, "Papa"; her paternal grandparents, Mamadou and Assiatou Fofana; her godparents, Uncle Exondus "Bigi" Barnes and Aunt Olivia Soares; her aunts, Khalia, Dieynaba, Awa (Devonte), Nafi, Mame, Jessica (Jason), Eva aka Meme, Rachel and Uncle Abubacar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services which will be held on Monday at 1:30 PM in the Masjid Al-Kareem Mosque, 39 Haskins St, Providence, R.I. 02903.

A private burial will follow in Little Cemetery, 100 Church Street, Greenville, RI.
