

Born in Boston, he was the son of Claude Harris and Florence Russell.
Deacon Anthony was the proud father of Ashlee Harris and Anthony Harris Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Dellaina Harris, Joanne Harris, and Kevin Russell. Predeceased by Darren Harris along with multiple nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.
Deacon Anthony lived his life with passion, humor, and an unmistakable zest for the things he loved. A devoted fisherman, he never missed an opportunity to be on the water. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and an enthusiastic follower of WWE wrestling. His cherished collection of comic books and WWE championship belts was a point of pride and famously off-limits to everyone but him.
A man of generosity and faith, Deacon Anthony was a dedicated member of Disciples of Christ Tabernacle Mission Church, where he served faithfully, for the last twenty-four years, not only as a Deacon, but also a Sunday School and Bible Study Teacher and a Preacher of the Word of God. Deacon Anthony also served as Head of the Church’s Soup Kitchen “The Shepherd’s In” helping to feed and provide lunch to the homeless population each and every Sunday. His compassion for others and his willingness to give of himself touched countless lives.
A Memorial Service will be held for Deacon Anthony privately at a later date at the family’s request.
Deacon Anthony will be remembered for his big heart, unwavering passions, and the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be held close by all who knew and loved him.
