He was the husband of the late Esther Rianna for 68 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Capece) Rianna.
Arnold was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from the Rhode Island Department of Administration.
Arnold leaves one daughter, Elena Sabella and her husband Steven of Cranston; his three cherished grandchildren, Adam Dufresne and his fiancée, Tracie Darwell, David Dufresne, and Cady Dufresne; a great-granddaughter, Riley Rianna Dufresne; a sister, Eleanor Simone of North Providence; and many nieces and nephews. Arnold was predeceased by one sister, Claire Walrod of Alameda, CA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Calling hours are omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
