Barbara Hill Arvidson

Barbara Hill Arvidson, age 90, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Leonard H. Arvidson, Sr.

Born at home on April 5, 1933 in the village of Wickford, Barbara was daughter of the late Clarence E. and Dollie E. (Greene) Hill and sister of the late Betty Felton. She graduated with honors from North Kingstown High School in 1951. She worked at the Wickford Savings Bank, University of RI and retired from the North Kingstown School Department where she was a library clerk for 16 years.

Barbara enjoyed ceramics, knitting and crocheting baby blankets and warm hats for our troops. She loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. The Arvidsons enjoyed wintering in Florida and summering in North Kingstown for over 25 years.

She is survived by her two children, Leonard H. Arvidson, Jr. and his wife JoAnna Pinga of Coventry and Mary Beth Seal and her husband Michael of Willington, CT; two grandchildren, Adam R. Seal and his fiancé Cassandra Platt of Willington, CT and Michael J. Seal and his partner Jessie Cosentino of Lemon Grove, CA; two great grandchildren, Skyler Mills and Chloe Seal, and several nieces and nephews. She was happily anticipating the birth of her 3rd great grandchild Charlotte.

Funeral and burial will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, Providence.
