Barbara E. Coogan

Warwick:Coogan, Barbara E. (Mulligan), 77, of Sparrows Point II, 777 Cowesett Rd, died Tuesday at her home. She was the wife of the late James W. Coogan.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Agnes (Knuettel) Mulligan.Mrs. Coogan was a payroll clerk for the State of Rhode Island, Department of MHRH for 15 years, retiring in 1986.She leaves a son, James W. Coogan of Cranston, 4 daughters, Kathleen M. Kane and Patricia A. Rooney, both of East Greenwich, Barbara J. Warburton, of North Kingstown and Peggy Curley of Warwick, 2 sisters, Regina Anderson of Chatham, MA and Rita Morgan of Ft. Pierce, FL and 12 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Austin, Donald and Robert Mulligan, Dorothea Sugrue and Beatrice McKenna.Her funeral will be Friday at 9am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-8pm.
