Barry L. Deschene, 70, passed away at home January 7, 2014. Son of the late L. Edward and Alice (Whalen) Deschene; husband of Patricia A. (Pirolli) Deschene; father of Timothy R. Deschene and his wife Kristen, Brian P. Deschene and his wife Elizabeth; cherished grandfather of Emerson, Brady, Lily, Claire and Gavin; brother of Marilyn Russo and the late Kenneth E. Deschene.
Barry was a respiratory therapist at the Rhode Island Hospital before retiring.
Visitation will be held Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
