Carmella 'Betty" Mathias

North Providence Carmella "Betty" (DeLillo) Mathias, 85, of North Providence passed peacefully on November 21, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John F. Mathias of Providence, the mother of John M. Mathias of North Providence, the grandmother of Peter M. O'Cain of Barrington, Kelly Kramer of Carmichael, California and Erin O' Cain of North Providence and the great grandmother of Kristopher, Megan, and Lauren. Though born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania she was a lifelong resident of Providence and North Providence, RI and the daughter of the late Matteo and Mary (Parente) DeLillo.She spent her entire working career in the jewelry industry and for many years was the proud proprietor of B&M Soldering Co. of Providence. She loved cooking big Italian meals and making delicious homemade pizza for the family. She is survived by her two sisters, Sara Luffe of Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, and Ocie Ann Hileman of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915. Arrangements by Russell J.
