Clara Luz Duran

Nacida en Santiago, República Dominicana, el 12 de agosto de 1932, vivió una vida llena de amor, alegría y dedicación a su familia. El 24 de diciembre de 2025 partió en paz, dejando un legado de bondad, risas y recuerdos inolvidables que permanecerán para siempre en los corazones de quienes la conocieron.

Fue una persona de muchas pasiones, cada una reflejo de su espíritu generoso. Su repostería, especialmente sus deliciosos bizcochos, era más que un pasatiempo; era su manera de unir a las personas y endulzar sus vidas. Su vino casero era legendario, símbolo de su amor por la celebración y la unión familiar. Tambien pasaba su tiempo cantando, bailando o compartiendo historias, tenía el don extraordinario de convertir los momentos cotidianos en ocasiones llenas de alegría.

Por encima de todo, su familia fue su mayor tesoro. Fue una madre dedicada a sus seis hijos: Iris, Juana, Marcos, Mercedes, Félix y Xiomara. Su orgullo y alegría se extendieron a sus 40 nietos y bisnietos, cada uno fuente inagotable de amor y felicidad. Su hogar siempre fue un lugar de calidez, risas y amor incondicional—un verdadero refugio para todos los que entraban.

Su risa, su corazón bondadoso y su fortaleza inquebrantable serán profundamente extrañados, pero su espíritu vivirá para siempre en las vidas que tocó. Nos enseñó el verdadero significado del amor, la resiliencia y la alegría, y por ello estaremos eternamente agradecidos.

Las horas de visita serán el martes 30 de diciembre de 2025, de 4:00 a 7:00 p.m., y el miércoles 31 de diciembre de 2025, de 8:30 a 9:30 a.m., en la Funeraria Romano, 627 Union Ave, Providence, seguidas por la Misa de Funeral Cristiano a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia St. Charles, 178 Dexter St, Providence. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio North Burial Ground, Providence.

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Clara Luz Duran.

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, on August 12, 1932, she lived a life overflowing with love, joy, and devotion to her family. On December 24, 2025, she peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was a woman of many passions, each one a reflection of her generous spirit. Her baking, especially her delicious cakes, was more than a hobby; it was a way of bringing people together and filling their lives with sweetness. Her homemade wine was legendary, a symbol of her love for celebration and togetherness. Whether singing, dancing, or simply sharing stories, she had an extraordinary gift for turning ordinary moments into joyful occasions.

Above all, family was her greatest treasure. She was a devoted mother to her six beloved children: Iris, Juana, Marcos, Mercedes, Felix, and Xiomara. Her pride and joy extended to her 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one a source of endless love and happiness. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love; a true sanctuary for all who entered.

Her laughter, her caring heart, and her unwavering strength will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the lives she touched. She taught us the meaning of love, resilience, and joy, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 8:30–9:30 a.m. at Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Church, 178 Dexter St, Providence. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
