Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Theresa (Verdelotti) Campagnone; husband of the late Sheila A. (Dunne) Rogers-Campagnone and former husband of Antonetta (Distante) Campagnone; father of Vincent R. Campagnone and Carol A. Penney; grandfather of 7; brother of Raymond Campagnone, Mary Grady and the late Frank and Michael Campagnone, Justine Del Mastro, Carmella Bova, Antonetta Santoro and Vincenza Perrotti.
Mr. Campagnone had worked as a self-employed contractor and owned/operated D. Campagnone Builders before retiring. He had also served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II.
Visitation will be held Saturday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence.
