He was the son of the late Alberico and Amalia (Pitassi) Izzi; father of Anthony Izzi and his wife Diana; grandfather of Angelo and Caterina Izzi; brother of the late Angelo Izzi and his twin sister Claudia A. Ziroli. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Donald had been a cement mason for various contractors before retiring. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, planting and gardening. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and his famous homemade wine. He enjoyed attending festivals, social clubs and restaurants. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the PONTARELLLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Social distancing and occupancy restrictions will be observed. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
