

Donna J. (Smyth) Coletta, 68, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Hope Hospice Care Center. She was the former wife of the late Paul A. Coletta, and fiance of the late David Allaire.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Cathryn A. (Cahill) Smyth, Jr.
Donna worked for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Motor Vehicles, for thirty three years before retiring. She loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed traveling, fishing and skiing.
Donna's family would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses as well as the entire Hope Hospice team for their excellent service and compassion shown to them during Donna's illness.
She leaves a sister, Sharon A. (Smyth) Kaye and her husband Singh Tulshi of Ashville. NC; two brothers, John J. Smyth, III and his wife Cynthia of Wakefield, and Stephen E. Smyth and his wife Tammy of Providence; two nephews, Brian M. Smyth and his wife Rayne, and Gregory J. Smyth; a niece, Kristen J. Orsini and her husband Lawrence, and several great nieces and nephews, Ashley Smyth, Andrew Smyth, Jaxon Orsini, Eli Orsini, Cam Orsini, Nathaniel Smyth, Sienna Smyth, and Joselyn Smyth. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert D. Smyth, who passed away in October.
The funeral will be held Saturday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday, 4:00 - 7:00 pm.
