Dr. Thomas DeCesare

Dr. Thomas DeCesare, Jr. 90, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dr. Danute (Katelyte) DeCesare. They were married for 61 years. Born in Providence, he a son of the late Thomas DeCesare, Sr. and Caterina (Pedorella) DeCesare. He served his country proudly with the United States Army during WWII. Tom was a Podiatrist in Providence for 50 years. He was a past president of the Rhode Island Podiatric Medical Association, served as a treasurer for the Knights of Columbus, and was a communicant of Saint Casimir Church in Providence. He enjoyed traveling, reading, playing golf and spending time with his family Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Donna Manchester, and her husband, Scott Manchester, of North Kingstown, Ernestine Fryburg, and her husband, Richard Fryburg, of North Kingstown, and Dr. Joseph DeCesare, and his wife, Dr. Catherine DeCesare, of East Greenwich; and ten loving grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his eldest son Thomas DeCesare. He was the brother of the late Emma DeSano, Nicholas DeCesare, Anaclethe DeCesare and Ernestine Laurito. Visitation will be held on Friday morning, September 11, 2015 from 8:00 am – 9:30 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Saint Casimir Church, 350 Smith Street, Providence.
