Eileen M. Bohan

Eileen M. (McCarron) Bohan of Providence, passed away on March 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Bohan. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Galligan) McCarron. Before retirement in 1987, Mrs. Bohan was employed in the classified advertising dept with the Providence Journal for over 25 years. She was a communicant of Church of Blessed Sacrament, and a loving and caring person.She was also an active volunteer with Saint Patrick soup kitchen as well as Fruit Hill Day Care. She was the mother of Thomas M. Bohan, Esq. and wife Carol, Edward K. "Ned" Bohan and wife Frances, Helen M. Greene and husband Kevin and Eileen F. McGurn and husband William McGurn, PPD. Grandmother of Thomas, Jennifer, Christopher, Michaela, Robert, Amy, Jason, Melissa and William, she also leaves 13 loving great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Sr. Helen McCarron, FMM., and the late Ann Murphy.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 am from The Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Church of the Blessed Sacrament,, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI 02908. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.Visitation Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm.
